From a young age in Kitimat, Northern British Columbia, I began to explore many art forms and from there, my interests have expanded. Now I find myself working with watercolours, doodling with black ink pen, playing with new and good quality repurposed fabrics and most recently, eco printing on both papers and fabrics. Products created by Seams Simple by Sue have been designed locally in my home based studio in Bowser, BC.

My journey with the Yoga Saki has evolved over twenty five years and the creation of the Yoga Mat Bag, has been a bit like an artist putting paint on canvas….learning that something special can come from putting together different fabric types…may they be new, quality repurposed and/or eco printed. A unique carrier of quality, the Yoga Saki has proven the ease of transporting and protecting your mat, through its popularity. All of the bags are handcrafted by myself, with pride and ownership. Made to easily fit the Manduka mat, the measurements include length of 28.5 inches, circumference 22 inches and diameter being 7 inches. Serging throughout provides extra strength and durability. The fully-lined Yoga Saki has an adjustable strap, front pockets and a top pull-type closure that is adorned with an assortment of beads and/or whimsical treasures.
My greeting cards are designed on quality grade water-colour paper, and have been embellished with a combination of one or more of eco print, watercolour and/or fine ink pen additions. All cards include a quality grade envelope.
Added to my latest offerings are a variety of fabric creations such as silk and cotton scarves, cross body bags, and table runners. Each are designed using an eco print process but often are combined with other repurposed and/or new fabrics.
